But that’s not the world we live in now. Here we are in the early 21st century and consumers still think it’s perfectly OK to discriminate against some netbooks based solely on color. Don’t bother with the excuses: “it’s just what I’m used to” or “it’s what I’m comfortable with” or “it’s what matches my Lisa Frank laptop bag”. Yeah, and I’m sure some of your best friends have purple netbooks, too. The real blame, though, goes to the companies like Asus that continue marketing their products to narrow demographic slices based solely on color preference.
